About Forefront

Forefront Packaging Solutions designs, sources, and warehouses packaging that is sold to some of Chicago's largest food manufacturers. Our customers produce for their own brands as well as co-packing for big box retailers, fast food chains, and fast casual restaurants. Our products consist of polyurethane bags, paper bags, tubs and lids, cups, and boxes.

Position Overview

The Customer Service Supply Chain Analyst acts as the primary point of contact between customers, vendors, and internal teams. This role combines customer service, order management, and data analysis responsibilities within the supply chain. The individual will manage orders, track performance metrics, generate reports, and ensure efficient communication across departments — all while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and a natural curiosity to learn and improve.

Key Responsibilities


• Customer Communication & Support

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, order status updates, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate communication.


• Order & Inventory Management

  • Process and monitor customer orders throughout the full order lifecycle—from placement to delivery.
  • Prepare customer inventory reports, reconcile data, and ensure alignment between records and physical counts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in order or inventory data.


• Reporting & Systems Management

  • Generate and maintain reports on inventory levels, order status, and quality metrics.
  • Utilize customer service systems (e.g., Salesforce, ERP, or internal databases) to manage data and ensure accuracy.
  • Utilize Excel daily for reporting, data analysis, and data entry; occasionally develop visual performance summaries for presentations.


• Process Improvement

  • Make suggestions for improved processes that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement workflow improvements and optimize system use.

Required Qualifications


• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills


• 2–4 years of experience in customer service, supply chain, or related field


• Inquisitive mindset; demonstrates curiosity and initiative in solving problems


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others

Preferred Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Operations, or Communications


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; Salesforce experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits


• Base salary of $55,000/year; plus 5% bonus contingent on company performance


• Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401(k) with company match


• Self-managed paid time off policy after first six months
