Driver Tractor Trailer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up recycled materials for various clients in the Baltimore Maryland area. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate a propane forklift and secure material to the trailer. As a vital part of our logistics operations, you will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties

• Operate tractor-trailer units to remove recycled material from various locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Navigate routes efficiently, utilizing GPS and maps when necessary.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck both inside and out.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Tractor Trailer Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is required.
• Experience with various types of trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks is a plus.
• Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities is essential.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
