Job Title: Cook

Job Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to recipes and standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role supports the kitchen team by ensuring meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
• Assist with food prep such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
• Monitor food quality and report any issues to the Kitchen Manager
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
• Properly store food and handle leftovers according to safety guidelines
• Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to required weight

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
