PMO Project Manager (Consultant)

Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite in Iselin, NJ

Overview:

Our client is seeking a seasoned PMO Project Manager to lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives. This consultant will drive programs focused on strategy and transformation, disaster recovery (DR), business impact assessments (BIA), and the enablement of AI-driven tools. The role requires a hands-on leader comfortable operating in complex, matrixed organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end program management for global transformation initiatives
• Establish PMO governance, reporting cadence, RAID logs, and executive dashboards
• Drive alignment across stakeholders on scope, timelines, and deliverables
• Partner with senior leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans
• Support operating model enhancements, process optimization, and change initiatives
• Lead or support DR and BIA assessments in coordination with IT and business continuity teams
• Identify and leverage AI-enabled tools for automation, reporting, and analytics

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 8–12+ years of project/program management experience, ideally in global professional services or consulting environments
• Background in strategy and transformation initiatives
• Hands-on experience with disaster recovery, business impact assessments, or business continuity planning
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled tools, automation platforms, or analytics solutions
• Exceptional communication skills with executive-level stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs
• PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred (not required)
