ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Interact with Crew Members and customers in a welcoming, energetic, and positive way.
• Deliver unparalleled hospitality to each customer that visits our café.
• Follow our safe serving practices to prepare, assemble, and serve fresh food and smoothies prepared to Tropical Smoothie Café's standards.
• Set up and monitor food and smoothie work stations.
• Clean and organize kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and any other areas in the cafe.
• Follow the steps to operate the register, including taking customer orders, accurately handling cash, and being responsible for the drawer.
• Follow all safety and security policies set by the brand.
• Perform any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• You must be legally able to work within the Colorado and Federal guidelines. Aside from that, no experience is necessary - but a willingness to learn job duties, including exceptional customer service, is a must

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, taking out trash, and other job duties.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• Safely navigate in a fast-paced café environment.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive and friendly in sometimes stressful working conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Most shifts are between four and eight hours, but this may vary.
• Crew Members can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
• Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and compliance with personal hygiene policies for each shift are required.
• Fun, fast-paced, upbeat environment with no fryers

Please note that the pay range listed does NOT include tips, which you'll earn after your training is complete, and average around $4.50 per hour. In other words, your actual pay would likely be between $20 and $21.50 per hour once you complete training (which takes ~80 worked hours, on average).

Also note that we expect training to take place January 19th - February 1st, 2026, set up as 4-hour blocks 5 days a week, either in the morning or evening depending on your availability. We are opening a new location in Clifton, currently expected to open on February 2nd, and some of our existing crew members at this location (Grand Junction) have chosen to work there, instead. So, we're hiring for this Grand Junction location and we'll also be bringing on new crew members for the new Clifton location. We'll train all new hires for both locations together as a group at this location (Grand Junction). (To be clear: This posting is specifically for the Grand Junction location at 2536 Rimrock Ave. - there is another posting for the Clifton location, if that is your preference.)
