Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals and support medication management routines.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
• Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; assist with transfers and heavy lifting as needed.
• Document care plans, patient observations, and progress notes diligently to ensure continuity of care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia care are a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively with people experiencing disabilities or complex health conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards residents' well-being.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to provide consistent care.
