Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated OSHA Safety Associate to join our team and promote a safe and compliant work environment. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards and occupational health regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of workers' compensation law, EPA regulations, and EHS practices, with a focus on continuous safety improvement across manufacturing operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to workplace safety initiatives while supporting training and development programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and occupational health policies.
- Develop, implement, and update safety procedures and protocols tailored to manufacturing environments.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide first aid and CPR training sessions to employees, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to workers' compensation law, safety incidents, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with management on workers' compensation law adherence and injury prevention strategies.
- Coordinate training & development programs focused on EHS best practices for all staff.
- Stay current with EPA regulations and environmental safety standards relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Promote occupational health initiatives that improve overall employee well-being.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, occupational health standards, and workers' compensation law.
- Experience in report writing, root cause analysis, and incident investigation techniques.
- Proficiency in conducting safety training sessions including CPR and first aid certification.
- Familiarity with EPA environmental standards and EHS management systems.
- Excellent communication skills for report documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to analyze complex safety issues and develop effective solutions through training & development initiatives.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage compliance records efficiently. This position is integral to fostering a safe workplace culture by ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risks, and promoting continuous safety improvements across all operational levels.
