Job Summary

As a Clinical Dietitian, you'll play a key role in enhancing the health and recovery of our patients through evidence-based nutrition assessment, planning, and counseling. Working across both inpatient and outpatient care settings, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
  • Develop individualized nutrition care plans considering age, culture, social, and economic factors.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Document assessments and care plans in the electronic medical record per established standards.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on dietary needs and nutrition-related topics, individually or in group settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during patient rounds and care planning.
  • Participate in community outreach and wellness programs as a nutrition expert.
  • Provide in-service training to Food and Nutrition Services staff and other clinical team members.
  • Assist in the development of the outpatient nutrition program and DSMT (Diabetes Self-Management Training).
  • Enter charges into Meditech system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Engage in continuing education (minimum 15 hours annually) to stay current on clinical nutrition best practices.
  • Support and mentor interns, students, and new staff members.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction and care delivery.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a dietetic internship or equivalent ADA-approved program.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian in the state of Arkansas.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Preferred:

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Board Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Range: Competitive pay based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with flexibility for occasional weekend or outreach activities
