Blending System Operator (Afternoon Shift 3pm-11pm)

Summary/Objective
The Utility Operator position primarily sets up and ensures the continuous operation of the blend systems in conjunction with our extruder line(s) while under supervision and direction of the production supervisor.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Follow production work orders/recipes to mix raw material batches for production

• Utilize mixing/blending equipment and tumblers to weigh and sift all compounds

• Utilize equipment to ensure batches are within tolerance

• Stage all batches to be used on the production line

• Complete daily inventory to verify inventory

• Clean all containers, equipment and working area to prevent contamination

Required Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED

• Math and Computer Skills

• Hand Tools and Measuring Devices (micrometer, tape measure)

• Forklift Experience

• Demonstration of good communication skills

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat, moving mechanical parts, and possible fumes.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift. Additional hours during the week or on weekends may be required according to production demands. This utility role may require covering afternoon or midnight shifts on a temporary basis if/when necessary. and with the associated shift differentials when applicable.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay

$16.00 per hour + $1 Shift Differential. Monthly bonus program.
