Position Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations at our Paw Paw, MI . location. This includes inventory management, , staff leadership, process improvement, and ensuring the warehouse runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals.
This is a high-impact leadership role in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment — perfect for a proactive, experienced professional with a hands-on management style and a strong background in warehouse operations, logistics, or manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all functions
- Manage receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and outbound shipping processes
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff to meet performance, safety, and quality expectations
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to align inventory and production goals
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain warehouse layout and space optimization strategies to support workflow
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on warehouse metrics
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and industry best practices
- Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and vendor relationships
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource planning for warehouse team
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of warehouse management or logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management systems (Quickbase), and logistics coordination
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other process improvement methodologies is a strong plus
- Forklift and hands-on experience with warehouse equipment
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or business is preferred
