Delivery Driver

We have an immediate opportunity for a part-time Route Delivery Driver in our Germantown, NY Hub

BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

Route Delivery Driver Shift 1:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday early morning's variable start times vary to early morning to late afternoon) out of state travel.

Route Driver Shift Essential Duties & Responsibilities::

• Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to navigate surrounding areas using GPS and comfortable with scanning devices.
• Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers).
• Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle in a safe, timely manner
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to make delivery's to customers on time, adaptability of area's
• Maintain vehicle appearance by ensuring all routine vehicle maintenance is completed and records maintained and notify manager of any issues
• Driving in a safe, courteous and defensive manner

REQUIREMENTS:

• Tech Savvy - Comfortable with smartphones - basic computer skills (email, print & scan, Word), ability to use scanners for scanning
• Ability to utilize a mobile/navigation device (GPS) for purposes of navigation/route optimization and familiar with scanning devices
• Show basic knowledge of Pre and Post trip inspection of vehicles
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged sitting
• Climb in and out of vans/box trucks repeatedly with no difficulties
• Clean/Wash truck as needed
• Current, valid driver's license in good standing (CDL NOT required)
• Preferred clean driving record - No driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 3 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last 3 years (Due to insurance)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
• Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude and willingness to work
• Both a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check are required for all applicants for this position
