We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast/Lunch Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent culinary skills, and experience in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves preparing nutritious and appealing meals for breakfast and lunch service, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are maintained throughout. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience and support the overall operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch meals according to menu specifications and dietary guidelines
• Plan menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring variety and nutritional balance
• Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
• Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy hours
• Follow all health department regulations and safety protocols to prevent contamination or accidents

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering services
• Knowledge of dietary department practices, menu planning, and food safety regulations
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Experience with fine dining or restaurant environments is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation standards
• Prior experience with catering or serving is a plus
• Must be able to work flexible hours during breakfast and lunch shifts; weekend availability is advantageous
• Culinary training or certification is desirable but not mandatory
