Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Ophthalmology Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our ophthalmology clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of medical office management, and familiarity with ophthalmic systems and regulations. This role is vital in ensuring efficient clinic functioning, compliance with healthcare standards, and delivering exceptional patient care. The Practice Manager will coordinate administrative, financial, and clinical activities, fostering a collaborative environment that supports both staff and patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Practice Manager
- Keeping provider schedules optimized
- Staff to patient volume
- Maintain positive staff culture
- Optimize staff workflow and efficiency/productivity
- Hiring along with the COO
- Co-lead with billing team; supervise billing team
- Ongoing billing resolution of accounts
- Help coordinate clinic events
- Co-supervise surgery coordinator with surgeons
- Delegate/oversee staff members with minor facilities
- Financial services/consulting with patients when needed
- Corporate compliance officer (HIPAA, insurance review, various reports)
- Risk management
- Ongoing reviewing and approving of payroll and PTO
- Hire open positions and ensure all positions are filled properly
- Conduct employee reviews
- Enforce employee discipline/constructive feedback
- Coordination with contact lens and medical vendors
- Assist in marketing execution/strategy
- Maintain positive reviews
- Assist in facilities development
- Represent CEO and company in a positive light internally and externally
- Oversee staff training for all roles with assistance from leads from each department
- Communicate regularly with the CEO and COO
- Oversee credentialing processes with credentialer and communicate updates to staff in a timely fashion
- Onboard new employees
- Oversee staff responsible for referral coordination, coordination of benefits/insurance verification
- Assist in facilities development

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
