Summary/Objective:
Plan, implement, evaluate, and adapt property services, programs, and activities associated with the Resident Services Department to enhance residents' quality of life and achieve community goals. This role reports to the Regional Property Manager.

Classification: Non-Exempt;(overtime eligible)

Essential functions/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assess resident needs and opportunities through various data collection methods, including interviews and surveys.
  • Develop a Property Services Plan that identifies goals for residents based on resident assessments and work closely with the Resident Association (where applicable) and individual residents to deliver activities that meet social, health, and recreation needs.
  • Market, organize, and conduct various resident programs, activities, and services based on the Property Services Plan. Implement and evaluate the Resident Services Plan and adjust programs and services based on feedback to meet stated goals.
  • Research and develop a directory of high-quality, dependable, and affordable service providers and resident resources for commonly needed services that enrich and complement the service opportunities available to the community's residents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with social service agencies and local government agencies.
  • Manage on-site partnerships with third-party service providers and review and assist with outcome tracking where necessary.
  • Track and evaluate resident programs and services weekly, including the number of residents participating in each program or service and other agreed-upon metrics, and develop an annual report analyzing resident outcomes.
  • Ensure that the resident services being provided at the community comply with and are within the spirit of those services specifically notated in the state tax credit viability and commitment agreement.
  • Provide general case management, intake, and referral services to all residents. Resolve and manage resident needs, including the coordination of external services.
  • Assist in the search and application for grants that may enhance the Resident Services program and serve the specific needs of residents while enhancing the choices available to them.
  • Educate management associates on issues related to aging in place, resident rights, service coordination, and the special needs of persons with disabilities as appropriate.
  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation, and Success in all activities and interactions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the federal Fair Housing Act which prohibits "any preference, limitation, or discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin or intention to make such preference, limitation or discrimination."
  • Develop and maintain a monthly newsletter and activities calendar.
  • Ensure proper documentation is being maintained at the site in accordance with all applicable requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to access all areas of the community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with special needs populations such as seniors, persons with disabilities, and low-income populations.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Ability to conduct compelling interviews maintain confidentially.
  • Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and a service-driven personality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Proficient in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Possess and maintain a valid in-state driver's license.
