Underground Lead Technician

Position: Underground Install Lead Technician

Typical Work Schedule: Monday – Friday. Hours may vary between 7am - 6pm.

Competitive Wage: $35 - $45 per hour.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Laborers
• Lead Laborers

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trains and supervises Laborers and Lead Laborers
• Act as Lead Technician on jobsite
• Oversees job materials and costs
• Demonstrates knowledge of current local codes
• Set up and lead inspections
• Leads backfills, repairs and inspections on jobsite
• Trains new employees to drive company vehicles and trailers
• Responsible for maintaining stock levels and cleanliness of company vehicle
• Regularly drives company vehicle, trailers and operates applicable machinery including Jetter
• Learns the basics of Lining, Pipe Bursting and applicable Codes
• Water main repairs and replacement
• Hot Box installation
• Concrete/Asphalt restoration
• Jack Hammer, Jumping Jack, Shoring and concrete Saw
• Regular and prompt onsite attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2 years of labor experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License
• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for insurance purposes.

Physical Requirements

• Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, digging and carrying.
• Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines, outdoors
• Exposure to extreme temperatures
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.

Pay: $ $45.00 per hour
