At Pyramid Healthcare Martinsburg Inpatient in Hedgesville we specialize in Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Pyramid Healthcare Inc. has been in operations since 1999 and currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues. - Schedule: Full time 40 hours/week
- Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour - $20.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the admission process by completing and reviewing admission paperwork, copying necessary documentation (e.g., photo ID, insurance), and coordinating with nursing when the client is ready.
- Conduct level-of-care assessments for all clients and complete PCPC or ASAM documentation for admission, continued stay, and discharge, ensuring timely entry into the electronic health record or appropriate charting system.
- Manage insurance and authorization tasks including precertification, UR notes, and coordination with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and Single County Authorities (SCAs).
- Support SCA clients with the Medical Assistance application process by coordinating with the appropriate representatives, signing and faxing necessary documentation.
- Maintain communication with probation/parole officers and employers when client consent is provided, ensuring documentation is filed in the clinical log.
- Distribute and collect client photos, labeling with client name and medical record (MR) number and distributing as needed.
- Ensure discharge tasks are completed for detox-only clients, including setting up outpatient appointments, AA meetings, and completing discharge summaries within required timeframes.
- Provide family surveys as needed and communicate with nursing staff for discharge coordination.
- Conduct prescreens via phone and in-person, entering data into the electronic clinical record, scheduling assessments, or referring to appropriate services.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensure, & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with the population served preferred.
