Class A CDL Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, and will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate routes efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, for the transportation of goods.
• Safely load and unload freight using forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Plan delivery routes effectively while adhering to schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Ensure the proper handling of refrigerated trailers to maintain product integrity during transport.
• Assist in flatbed or dump truck operations as required.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is advantageous.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of route driving and navigation skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety protocols and regulations in all driving activities.
