Full-Time Restaurant Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Restaurant Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong knife skills, and a firm understanding of food safety standards. This role involves preparing high-quality hibachi-style and American cuisine in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food handling. Prior experience in the food industry or catering is preferred, along with a background in menu planning and culinary techniques. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for various service periods
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
• Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, flat-tops, fryers, and other appliances
• Support catering events and special functions as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques
• Established knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
• Ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced enviornment
• Reliable transporation, punctual, and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
