Senior Platform Engineer

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee
is hiring a
Senior Platform Engineer.
In this
fully remote
role, you'll ensure the performance, security and durability of platforms (as well as maintaining the infrastructure and services required to support them). On-call rotation is part of the schedule for this team.

Our ideal candidates will come with expertise in
Windows and Linux
systems administration along with hands-on experience in
Ansible
and
Terraform
. Proficiency in
YAML
and
PowerShell scripting
is required. Expertise in
Nutanix technology
(including AHV, Cluster Deployment, and Leap) is also required. Familiarity with
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
and/or
Microsoft Azure
is a plus; proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM) is also preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Certify multiple hardware platforms and the interrelationship/interoperability of different operating systems and complex environments.
• Provide technical leadership and responsibility for the installation and certification of all supporting software and hardware in order to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.
• Developing data architecture to support both the production system, and the backend data science and modeling tools.
• Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into
