Automotive Service Advisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Writer / Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service, providing expert guidance on repairs and maintenance, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns
• Accurately document vehicle issues and service needs using automotive diagnostics and repair knowledge
• Prepare detailed estimates for repairs and maintenance, including services such as oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, suspension, tire service, alignments, shocks & struts, and the like
• Upsell additional services based on customer needs while maintaining integrity and transparency
• Coordinate with technicians to communicate repair priorities and ensure timely completion of work
• Manage service write-ups, including vehicle inspections and service recommendations
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation of all sales and estimates
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain organized records of service history and follow-up appointments

Experience

• Prior dealership experience or auto service management background preferred
• Proven ability in auto estimating, upselling, and handling automotive diagnostics
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including transmissions, oil changes, alignment, suspension systems, tire services, shocks & struts, brake repair, and other automotive repairs
• Service technician experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes highly advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
• Experience with auto sales or automobile sales is a plus
• Proficiency in cash handling and administrative tasks related to service writing is desirable

Pay: $41, $52,000.00 per year
