Box Truck driver

The Donation Specialist plays a pivotal role in representing the Habitat brand by engaging in courteous interactions with customers to further our mission. This position supports ReStore retail sales operations by efficiently picking up and unloading donations, including furniture and large appliances, while promoting teamwork. The Donation Specialist, a box truck driver, is integral to the thrift store team, ensuring that donated goods are handled with care for resale and maintaining our trucks and equipment at optimal levels. This position is ideal for someone with experience in furniture moving and hauling.

In this role, you'll explore various neighborhoods and interact with new people daily. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills or collaborate with a team member while operating the box truck safely and efficiently.

• Ensure timely and efficient movement of donations to deliver fast and quality service.
• Communicate the status of pickups to customers, dispatcher, and warehouse supervisor as needed to ensure excellent customer service.
• Utilize software for donation tracking
• Load and unload merchandise routinely at multiple sites.
• Stack, pad, and secure items in position on the truck to prevent damage during shipment.
• Assist the ReStore Manager in maintaining efficient operations by:
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Keeping the warehouse neat and orderly when unloading.
• Moving priced items to the showroom floor.
• Adhering to the ReStore's recycling efforts.
• Assisting customers and donors in loading and unloading merchandise

To excel as a Donation Specialist driver at Habitat Bucks, you'll need a unique set of skills to tackle the challenges that come your way. From moving furniture to heavy lifting, you should be a pro at handling physical tasks with ease. Being a team player is a must - collaboration and communication are key as you work alongside your colleagues to achieve common goals.

Ability to safely lift and position 50 pounds frequently. The job entails constant physical activity, including but not limited to bending, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, and reaching, often in awkward or tiring positions.

You must have reliable transportation to the Warminster ReStore location.
