Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Enter data accurately into systems like AS400 and Transportation Management Systems to track shipments, update statuses, and generate reports.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with logistics standards and supply chain protocols.
• Oversee fleet management activities including dispatching trucks, tracking freight movement, and coordinating maintenance schedules.
• Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and support transportation planning initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Learn our WMS and TMS and adjust inventory as and when needed with a customer service experience as well.
• Answer Phone calls

Skills

• Proficiency with GIS, GPS technology, Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 systems.
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), logistics, freight operations, and supply chain fundamentals.
• Excellent analysis skills for route optimization, data entry accuracy, and problem-solving within transportation planning.
• Effective dispatching abilities combined with knowledge of fleet management practices.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures along with 3PL (third-party logistics) coordination.

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
