Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in planning and executing daily menu offerings, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Support catering events or special functions by preparing dishes efficiently and professionally.
  • Handle food safely by adhering to all health regulations and safety protocols during food prep and service.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.
  • Participate in inventory checks, report shortages, and help with stock rotation to minimize waste.

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or the food industry is highly valued.
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills like fine dining presentation or catering support.
