Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in planning and executing daily menu offerings, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing dishes efficiently and professionally.
- Handle food safely by adhering to all health regulations and safety protocols during food prep and service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.
- Participate in inventory checks, report shortages, and help with stock rotation to minimize waste.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or the food industry is highly valued.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations.
