Job Summary:
Our Seattle, Washington distribution center is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead and motivate our warehouse team. This critical role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in all warehouse activities. You will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring adherence to logistics best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a proven track record in warehouse management, and a deep understanding of safety protocols. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a productive and secure environment, driving our logistics operations forward and ensuring the highest levels of performance and compliance.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Manage, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance and development.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring the proper use of PPE and safe handling procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing procedures for cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics chain.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and shipment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities, coordinating with maintenance teams as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and management regarding operations and logistics.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience implementing safety programs.
  • Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
  • A results-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement in logistics operations.
