Join our growing logistics team in Richmond, Virginia, as a Material Handler! We are seeking motivated individuals to manage the flow of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials efficiently. This role is essential to our supply chain operations, ensuring that products reach their destination on time and in excellent condition. You will be involved in loading and unloading shipments, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining an organized warehouse. Safety is our top priority, and we provide thorough training, including the proper use of PPE, to ensure a secure working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Accurately store and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting activities.
- Follow all guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and operational efficiency of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment operation is beneficial.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
