Join our team as a Forklift Operator in Columbus, Ohio! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to the efficiency of our warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring materials are handled safely and effectively. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area, performing routine equipment checks, and adhering to all Safety regulations. Comprehensive knowledge of Safety procedures and the proper use of PPE is essential. This position requires the ability to perform frequent Lifting and maneuvering of materials. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of safe operation and be comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and onto racks.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Adhere to all logistics and shipping schedules.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and maneuvering.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
