We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced logistics team in Houston, Texas. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail ensures that our customers receive the correct products in perfect condition, directly impacting our reputation for reliability and service. This position requires a thorough understanding of order fulfillment processes and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Safety is our utmost priority; all team members must strictly adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant walking, standing, and the ability to perform moderate Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders.
- Verify item codes, quantities, and product condition before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Use appropriate packing materials to protect products during transit.
- Label packages correctly for dispatch.
- Operate hand-held scanners and assist with inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures.
- Meet established picking and packing performance targets.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Capacity for moderate Lifting and physical activity throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and eagerness to follow all guidelines.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
