Job Summary:
Our dynamic Logistics hub in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a skilled Shipping Clerk to manage our outgoing shipments. This role is vital for ensuring that all orders are accurately documented, packaged, and dispatched to our customers and partners. You will be responsible for preparing shipping paperwork, coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, and maintaining efficient shipping processes. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate and prepare accurate shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
  • Verify shipment details against orders, ensuring accuracy in product and destination information.
  • Liaise with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage logistics for timely deliveries.
  • Track outgoing shipments and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Inspect outbound packages for proper labeling, packaging integrity, and damage.
  • Operate dock equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
  • Maintain organized records of all shipments and related documentation.
  • Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Follow all established Lifting guidelines for palletizing and preparing shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service.
  • Support overall Logistics operations and assist with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related Logistics role.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and carrier management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse Safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
