We are hiring a Picker/Packer to join our energetic team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and efficiently packing them for shipment. This position is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring that orders are fulfilled correctly and meet customer expectations. You'll work in a dynamic environment, utilizing technology and following established procedures. A strong emphasis on Safety and efficiency is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick sheets.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product quality before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Use appropriate packaging materials and methods for various product types.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Stage packed orders in the designated shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse area.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Adhere to Lifting policies and best practices to ensure safe handling of goods.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking and packing accuracy and speed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed within our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order information and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Awareness of warehouse Safety procedures.
