Job Summary:
Are you a reliable and physically capable individual looking for a rewarding opportunity in logistics? We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler at our state-of-the-art facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position is vital to maintaining the flow of goods through our warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our supply chain operations. You will be working with a variety of materials, from small components to larger items, contributing to the overall success of our distribution network.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and organization.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
  • Inspect equipment for safety and report any damage or malfunction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Capacity for significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, including hard hats and steel-toed boots.
