Join our efficient logistics team in Richmond, Virginia, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for detail-oriented and energetic individuals to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets, carefully packaging items to ensure safe delivery, and preparing orders for shipment. You will utilize scanning equipment to track inventory and update our Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll contribute to the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position involves regular physical activity, including lifting items up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory and update the WMS.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and WMS is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and order fulfillment processes.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
