Join our bustling warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland as a Material Handler . This position is essential for managing the movement of goods, ensuring that materials are accurately and efficiently transported throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring timely preparation of orders. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming goods.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
- Ensure correct use of PPE at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and prolonged standing or walking.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are critical.
