We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Fort Worth, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, contributing directly to our logistics success. This position demands precision, awareness, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will be expected to inspect equipment before and after use, report any maintenance issues, and maintain accurate records of material movement. A keen eye for detail is essential to prevent damage to goods and ensure accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. Experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, is highly desirable. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items and operating machinery. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Organize and stack merchandise in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Accurately document all material movements.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
