Our state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, California is looking for a highly skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and systems. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery and tools used in our logistics operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Safety and technical expertise are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and optimize workflows.
- Contribute to a safe and organized warehouse environment.
- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in warehouse maintenance and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment and automated systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial.
