Seeking a skilled Material Handler to support our operations in Miami, Florida. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in the movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, transporting, staging, and organizing raw materials, components, and finished goods. You will operate various types of warehouse equipment to ensure the efficient flow of goods, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. A strong focus on safety , adherence to procedures, and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle various materials effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and stock rotation.
- Stage materials for production or shipping departments.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment; valid certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion.
- Proficient in lifting and moving heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
