We are seeking a proactive Distribution Center Associate for our Miami, Florida location. This role is central to the efficiency of our supply chain and logistics network. As a Distribution Center Associate, your duties will encompass a wide range of activities including receiving and processing inbound goods, accurately storing inventory, picking and packing orders with precision, and preparing shipments for final delivery. Success in this role depends on your meticulousness, efficiency, and commitment to operational excellence. You will collaborate with a team of professionals in a demanding warehouse environment that requires physical stamina for frequent lifting and a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols. Our company places a high priority on workplace safety, providing thorough training and mandating the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a secure atmosphere for all employees. Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and accurately record incoming inventory.
- Organize and store products efficiently within the distribution center.
- Process customer orders by picking items accurately using scanners or pick tickets.
- Pack orders carefully to prevent damage during shipping and handling.
- Assemble outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform lifting tasks of up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all PPE requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A keen understanding of logistics principles is advantageous.
