We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within our warehouse facility. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes, from receiving to shipping. Safety is our utmost priority, and we expect all operators to adhere strictly to established safety procedures and regulations. Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times while operating equipment and working in the warehouse. This position requires experience in operating various types of forklifts and a keen understanding of warehouse safety. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, stacking inventory, and transporting goods. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent hand-eye coordination. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Assist with inventory management and organization.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to use PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
