Our Omaha distribution center is seeking a proficient Reach Truck Operator to join our dedicated logistics team. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of inventory. The Reach Truck Operator will operate specialized equipment to move, stack, and organize products within our warehouse racking systems. Key responsibilities include performing daily equipment checks, adhering to strict safety guidelines, and ensuring accurate placement of all items. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Accurately place and retrieve inventory from high-level racking.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Support overall logistics and inventory management efforts.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and manipulating palletized goods.
Qualifications:
- Valid reach truck operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and safety best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Must be capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain concepts is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
