Our Milwaukee facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our stock levels, which is fundamental to our logistics operations. The Inventory Clerk will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and assist in resolving inventory-related issues. This role requires a high level of accuracy and a systematic approach to tracking stock movement. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that inventory data reflects the physical stock at all times. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team with inventory-related inquiries.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle tasks involving lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
