Our Orlando, Florida facility is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring product integrity. This is a physically demanding role that requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Assist with general warehouse operations, including order picking and packing when needed.
- Follow all logistics guidelines for efficient warehouse flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including correct PPE usage.
