Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Mechanical & Structural Design Engineer to join the Air Dominance division in Hazelwood, MO.BDS AD Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. If you thrive in a fast-paced culture, eagerly take action, set high standards for yourself, passionately honor commitments, strive to be the best and deliver results to achieve the unthinkable- this role is for you!Position Responsibilities:Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system designSupport the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groupsPerform and document analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specificationsContribute to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goalsSupport system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentationTrain othersWork under general directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experienceExperience working with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent.Experience with Fuel, Hydraulic, & ECS aircraft subsystemsBroad understanding of heat transfer concepts, heat exchange components, and/or air cycle systemsAble to summarize findings and develop conclusions documented with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel, and PowerPointThis position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
