Fleet Owner Operator Truck Driver

• Overview

85-15% Split. We are seeking experienced Fleet Owner Operator Truck Drivers to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. As an owner-operator, you will be responsible for delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, route management, and load handling, with a commitment to maintaining high safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
• Drive on designated routes ensuring timely delivery of goods
• Manage freight documentation and delivery paperwork accurately
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain proper records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs
• Adhere to all federal and state transportation regulations and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues during transit

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial transportation including route driving and delivery operations
• Prior experience with manual transmission trucks preferred
• Experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures for different cargo types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling
• Demonstrated ability to manage load & unload processes efficiently and safely
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., tanker endorsement)
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking operations and freight transport
