Worth Team As part of the HCVT Fort Worth team, you will work in a fast-paced environment, with a tax practice that is focused on serving clientele in the Alternative Investment Management industries. We maintain a strong focus on providing exceptional client service, resulting in long lasting client relationships in which our teams are viewed as integral pieces of our clients' businesses Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Review federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts and related income tax work papers
- Prepare complex client work and delegate entry level work to staff accountants
- Take ownership and organize workflow of client engagements, ensuring filing deadlines are met
- Supervise and manage expectations of engagement teams, staff accountants and/or interns on your teams
- Responsible for meeting engagement timelines and budget guidelines, and provide job status to partners, managers, and client personnel in a timely manner
- Identify tax issues and propose strategies to resolve them
- Effectively and efficiently research technical tax issues
- Respond to and prepare correspondence for state & federal tax authorities
- Develop strong relationships with firm professionals and clients
- Coach and provide feedback to junior team members
- Effectively utilize and train others on firm tax preparation software
- Participate in staff and senior level trainings
- Ensure high quality of work product
- Minimum two years of relevant tax experience
- Experience with taxation of "flow-through" entities is preferred, private equity experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major required
- Passed all 4 sections of the CPA exam and has met the requirements to obtain their CPA license strongly preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proven experience in leading and supervising junior team members
