Field Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and drive excellence in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment across manufacturing facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with complex machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components. As a vital part of our field service team, you will deliver exceptional customer service by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues efficiently. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and electrical installations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments (such as ammeters and ohmmeters), and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history accurately.
• Repair or replace components involving low voltage and high voltage electrical systems while adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate industrial tools such as welding equipment (including welding), scissor lifts, and other machinery safely to complete repairs or installations.
• Collaborate with customers to provide technical sales support by explaining repair processes or recommending upgrades based on operational needs.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to execute precise maintenance tasks aligned with manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to industrial mechanics, electrical work, and high-voltage systems in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within manufacturing facilities or industrial maintenance environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with industrial electrician tasks, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
• Ability to operate scissor lifts safely and perform work at heights using appropriate safety procedures.
• Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems; experience working with industrial high-voltage equipment is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues efficiently.
• Industrial mechanic or industrial electrician experience preferred; military background is a plus for discipline and technical aptitude.
