Personal Care Assistant Needed

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the lives of those they serve and possess relevant experience in home and community care. Prior training in healthcare practices is preferred, along with a strong understanding of patient safety and confidentiality standards.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and behavioral changes
• Administer medications and follow care plans accurately and safely
• Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being
• Operate patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning duties
• Document care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including hospice, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities care
• Follow safety protocols during patient handling, including heavy lifting and patient monitoring

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism or developmental disabilities.
• Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable
• Background in home health, hospice care, or social work is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with seniors or individuals requiring memory or dementia care
