Service Technician – Kelso Building Services (Atlanta, GA)

Full-Time | On-Site | Commercial HVAC

Kelso Building Services is expanding our Atlanta service team and looking for a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to support our commercial service, maintenance, and light install operations across the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. This position offers long-term growth, strong leadership support, and the opportunity to work on high-end systems including VRF, RTUs, split systems, and light BAS/controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair on commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, gas furnaces, mini-splits, and VRF systems (Fujitsu, Daikin, LG preferred).

• Conduct preventative maintenance (PMA) on commercial equipment and document findings thoroughly.

• Start up systems, verify proper operation, and complete system commissioning checklists.

• Accurately record materials, labor, recommendations, and customer notes within ServiceTitan.

• Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers, and office staff.

• Follow safety protocols, mechanical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, and Kelso QA standards.

• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

• Support branch operations with high-end customer service and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years HVAC field experience required (commercial preferred).

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.

• Experience with one or more VRF platforms (Fujitsu Airstage, Daikin, LG, etc.) is a plus.

• Basic understanding of building controls/BAS (BACnet, thermostats, economizers, sensors).

• EPA Universal Certification required.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in rooftop/mechanical room environments.
