Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Recommend menu items, upsell specials, and promote beverage pairings to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in food service

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or food industry experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling and cashiering tasks
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is a plus
• Previous host/host experience or serving background is advantageous
• Basic kitchen knowledge or culinary experience is beneficial for understanding food prep processes
