Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to established menus and standardized recipes
• Assist with menu planning
• Ensure all food handling and preparation complies with safety and sanitation standards
• Support food service operations, including serving meals and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
• Contribute to catering events or special meal preparations as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety protocols and inventory management
• Collaborate with dietary staff to meet the nutritional needs of residents or guests

Skills

• Proven experience in culinary arts, or food service roles
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and cooking techniques
• Experience with menu planning, especially for specialized diets or fine dining environments
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with food industry standards, catering, and serving protocols
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Prior restaurant, kitchen, or food industry experience is highly desirable
