Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations within a hospital or acute care setting, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of pharmaceutical care. Duties

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and efficacy of compounded medications.
• Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals.
• Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and health products.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy for patients in critical care settings.
• Document all medication administration and patient interactions accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.

Requirements

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required; experience in a hospital or acute care environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and critical care practices.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and medication administration protocols.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and collaboration within a healthcare team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
