Teacher Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for a caring and energetic Teacher Assistant to join our school. In this role, you will help the lead teacher with daily activities, support the children throughout the day, and help create a safe, fun, and welcoming classroom. We want someone who enjoys working with young children and is ready to be part of a positive, busy school environment.

Duties

• Help the lead teacher with daily lesson plans and classroom activities
• Support a calm, organized, and engaging classroom
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and transitions
• Use positive behavior strategies to guide children
• Help children learn through age-appropriate activities that build curiosity and social skills
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and hygiene routines for infants and toddlers
• Help keep the classroom clean, safe, and organized

Skills

• Basic understanding of child development and early childhood best practices
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool ,or similar settings
• Good classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to stay patient, calm, and flexible
• Familiarity with positive behavior guidance
• CPR/First Aid is a plus, but will provide if needed
• Kind, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.49 per hour
